All kids love animals and getting messy. Here is a great project that combines the two and won’t break the bank.

• Paper Plates
• Paints
• Paintbrush
• Glue
• Construction Paper
• Scissors

Take a paper plate and paint it the color of the animal you wish to make.

Make different shapes on the construction paper for the different parts of the animals face and cut them out.

Once the paper plate is dry glue the shapes onto the place to make your animals face.

To make the fish take a paper plate and cut out a small triangle, which you will glue on as the tail. The cut triangle in the plate will be the mouth.

This is a great project to work on with your child while teaching them the names of different animals, along with the following songs or stories: Five Little Speckled Frogs, Five Little Ducks Went Out One Day, The three Little Pigs, etc.
